Buttermilk White Cake(This Is A Favorite With My Family.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs (save 3 whites)
    3 c. cake flour
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together. Cream the shortening and sugar well. Add eggs alternating with milk to dry ingredients.
    Beat well after each cup full.
    Pour into 9-inch pans, well-greased and floured.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Let cool 10 minutes. This cake is very light so be careful getting it out of the pans.
    If you use a 13 x 9-inch pan, increase baking time to 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Ice with Seven Minute Icing.
