Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. evaporated milk
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Mix shortening, sugar and eggs.
Stir in milk and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Stir in nuts.
Chill 1 hour. Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 minutes.
While warm frost with Burnt Butter Glaze.
Makes 4 dozen.
