Ingredients

1 lb. 2 oz. flour (500 grams)
9 oz. powdered sugar (220 grams)
3 Tbsp. butter (30 grams)
5 eggs
almonds, peeled (whole or sliced)
pinch of aniseed
pinch of salt
Preparation

Butter and flour 2 cookie sheets.
Preheat oven at 350\u00b0. Leave almonds for last.
Put all other ingredients in a bowl, mix and knead to form a soft dough.
Add almonds and kneed.
Divide dough in 4 parts.
Makes 4 loaves, 1/2-inch high.
Bake until golden.
Cool.
