Red Rock Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. red cinnamon candies
1 tsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Combine first 3 ingredients in a heavy 3-quart saucepan; cook over low heat until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Continue to cook over medium heat about 10 minutes or until it reaches soft ball stage (234\u00b0).
Add cinnamon candies.
Continue cooking and stirring constantly until it reaches hard crack stage (300\u00b0).
Remove from heat; stir in butter or margarine.
Quickly pour into buttered 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan; cool.
Break into small pieces.
Makes 1 1/2 pounds.
