Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    3/4 c. self-rising corn meal
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Add boiling water slowly to the meal and melted shortening; beat until smooth.
    Add the milk and eggs; mix well.
    Pour into greased pan and bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 375\u00b0.'
