Fruit Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. self-rising flour
    2 eggs
    1 1/4 c. light brown sugar
    1 stick butter
    1 lb. candied fruit
    2 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Spread pecans in a greased and floured 9 x 12-inch pan.
    Melt butter and brown sugar; mix in flour, vanilla and eggs.
    Beat well.
    Pour mixture over nuts.
    Sprinkle fruit over all.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Batter will look soft.
