24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, finely chopped
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 small box frozen peas, thawed but not cooked
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. mayonnaise
    8 oz. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Put 1/2 lettuce in a bowl.
    Layer on top onions, peas, sugar and mayonnaise.
    Cover with rest of lettuce and cheese, then bacon bits.
    Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
    Mix and serve.
