Tropical Healthy Fruit Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients
-
1 c. chopped papaya, remove seeds
1 c. crushed pineapple
1 c. diced mango
1 c. diced watermelon
2 bananas
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
Preparation
-
Put as many cups of fruit at a time as the blender will hold, adding nutmeg and extract as you go.
Puree until smooth.
You can freeze fruit first if you want soup to be really cold.
Fruit soup can be as thick as bisque by combining puree with buttermilk, sour cream (light) or yogurt.
Use a quarter to half the amount of fruit puree or you can make fruit consume without dairy products and thinning it with sparkling water, tea, cranberry or orange juice. You can also add pieces of whole fruit to the soup.
Either version can be poured over ice cream, frozen yogurt or sherbet.
