Savory Sauced Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion, sliced and separated into rings
    1 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    1 c. vegetable juice cocktail
    2 Tbsp. snipped parsley
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. dried marjoram, crushed
    1/4 tsp. dried basil, crushed
    2 whole small chicken breasts, skinned and halved lengthwise
    2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In saucepan, cook onion in oleo until onion is tender but not brown.
    Combine vegetable juice cocktail, parsley, cornstarch, marjoram and basil; stir into onion mixture.
    Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
    Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes more.
    Arrange chicken breasts in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Pour sauce mixture over chicken.
    Bake, covered with foil, in a 350\u00b0 oven for 50 to 55 minutes or until chicken is tender.
    Remove foil; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
    Bake 5 to 10 minutes more.
    Makes 4 servings.
