German Apple Pancake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large apples, sliced and peeled
    1/2 stick butter
    1 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    6 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 475\u00b0.
    Melt 2 tablespoons butter over low heat in an ovenproof skillet (cast-iron works great).
    Saute apples until just tender.
    Remove apples from pan.
    Put empty pan in oven while making batter.
    The pan must be hot for recipe to work.
