Simple Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 lb. ground beef or ground chuck
    1/2 c. dry unseasoned bread crumbs
    1 egg
    1/4 c. finely chopped onions
    1 1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
Preparation
    In a bowl, mix thoroughly 1/4 cup of the soup, beef, bread crumbs, egg and onion. Shape firmly into patties. In skillet over medium heat, cook a few patties at a time until brown on each side. Spoon off fat. Stir in remaining soup and mushrooms. Return patties to skillet. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until tests done, turning occasionally.
