Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, diced
    1/4 lb. margarine
    1 c. long grain rice
    1 can diced water chestnuts
    2 cans beef consomme
    1/2 c. grated carrots
Preparation
    Saute, but do not brown onion in margarine.
    Remove onion to a small bowl.
    Saute rice until it turns yellow, then add onions, water chestnuts, beef consomme and grated carrots.
    Cover and bake about 40 minutes at 375\u00b0.
