Southern Smothered Prawns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. large prawns
    1 c. Wesson or vegetable oil
    2 (16 oz.) cans tomato puree
    1 Tbsp. minced garlic
    1 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 tsp. whole celery seed
    1 tsp. whole cumin seed
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. sweet basil
    1 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Devein and wash prawns.
    Preheat large skillet with Wesson oil or vegetable oil.
    Slowly brown prawns and pour off the oil.
    Add the tomato puree.
    Stir in all the seasonings.
    Cook at low temperature for 15 minutes.
    Serve over steamed rice.
    Serves 6 people.
