Pepper Steak With Red Wine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. sirloin or round steak
    1 tsp. minced garlic
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. basil
    1 tsp. onion powder
    3 large onions, chopped
    3 medium green peppers
    2 cans stewed tomatoes
    3 (2 1/2 oz. each) jars sliced mushrooms
    1/4 c. red wine
    oil for frying
Preparation
    Cut meat into thin strips and season with garlic, oregano, basil and onion powder.
    Brown meat in hot oil.
    Add sliced onions and sliced green peppers.
    Cook until vegetables are tender.
    Combine remaining ingredients, except oil.
    Add to meat mixture and simmer 30 minutes or until meat is tender.
    Serve over rice.
