Mary'S Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oatmeal
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 cube butter
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand while mixing the rest of the cake.
    Cream together sugar, brown sugar and butter. Add egg and mix well.
    Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon and salt; add to butter mixture.
    Add oatmeal mixture and vanilla. Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
