Mennonite Borscht - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stewing hen or beef
    1 large head cabbage
    1 bunch parsley
    bay leaf
    1 pt. tomatoes
    1 large onion
    salt to taste
    dash of cayenne
    1 c. cream
Preparation
    All ingredients are approximate.
    Cook meat until tender; bone and cut up.
    Add to soup stock with remainder of ingredients, except cream.
    Simmer until done.
    Add cream and serve.
