Rich Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    5 c. flour
    2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Bring milk to a boil.
    Add shortening, sugar and salt.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Sprinkle yeast over warm water.
    After 5 minutes, stir and combine with cooled milk mixture.
    Add 1/2 of the flour.
    Add enough of the remaining flour to make a soft dough.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Turn out on lightly floured board.
    Knead about 10 minutes or until smooth and satiny.
    Place dough in a warm greased bowl.
    Brush very lightly with melted fat.
    Let rise about 2 hours or until double in bulk.
    Shape into rolls.
    Place on a greased baking sheet.
    Cover and let rise 1/2 to 3/4 hour or until double. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
