Ingredients

1 c. light brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sour cream
2 1/2 plus c. flour
1 lb. dates, cut up
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar, then add other moist ingredients.
Add flour, dates and nuts.
Add more flour if necessary.
Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
Ice cookies when cool.
