Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    2 1/2 c. mini marshmallows
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 (12 oz.) container Cool Whip
    1 c. English walnuts
    1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 Red Delicious apples, cut in small cubes (Granny Smith also work well)
Preparation
    Drain pineapple (save juice).
    Combine drained pineapple and marshmallows.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Beat pineapple juice, egg, flour, vinegar and sugar; heat until thick, stirring constantly. Refrigerate until completely cooled.
    When cooled, mix sauce and Cool Whip.
    Add nuts, marshmallow mixture and apples.
    Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
