Picante Sauce(The Kind Put In Ruth'S Pot Of Chili.) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 c. raw tomatoes, peeled and chunked
3 c. onions, chopped
1/4 to 1/2 c. jalapeno peppers to taste, chopped
1 to 2 c. green or red bell peppers, chopped
3 or 4 cloves, chopped
1/2 c. vinegar
1/4 c. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 to 1 tsp. each (to taste): oregano, cayenne pepper and cumin
Preparation

Blend and boil for 30 minutes.
Place in sterile jars and water bath for 15 minutes.
Makes about 5 pints of sauce.
This recipe can be halved, doubled or tripled.
If you use 32 cups of tomatoes, the yield is about 12 quarts.
