Fruit Nut Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. candied cherries, chopped
    2 c. chopped dates
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Combine flour and salt.
    Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk.
    Add to creamed mixture, alternating with dry ingredients.
    Add nuts and fruit. Chill 1 hour.
    Drop from a teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 375\u00b0.
