Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. self-rising corn meal
1 c. self-rising flour
3 Tbsp. baking powder
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1 egg
buttermilk

Preparation

Combine all ingredients, adding enough buttermilk to make a medium soft dough.
Spoon out and drop into hot grease.
Cook until brown on both sides.
