English Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/3 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine margarine, sugar, corn syrup and water in a deep 2-quart bowl.
    Microwave, uncovered, on Full power for 4 minutes. Stir.
    Microwave 6 to 8 minutes, stirring the last few minutes. Stir in vanilla.
    Pour onto ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips over toffee and spread evenly.
    Sprinkle with nuts. Refrigerate.
    When cool, break into pieces.
