Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
    1 pt. jam (any flavor)
    3 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 Tbsp. allspice
    1 Tbsp. cloves
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately.
    Add together.
    Beat at low speed. Cook at 300\u00b0 for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
    Let set in covered dish for two days.
    Jam will soak into cake.
    Slice and eat.
    No icing required.
