Ho-Ho Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. devil's food cake mix
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 stick margarine or butter, softened
    2 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 can chocolate frosting
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Prepare cake mix as directed in a 9 x 13-inch greased cake pan.
    Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
    Cool completely! Combine remaining ingredients, except frosting.
    Beat 10 to 15 minutes or until light and fluffy.
    Spread over cooled cake.
    Open can of frosting and soften over low heat in pan of water or in microwave.
    Top with softened frosting.
