Sweet Potatoes And Apple Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large sweet potatoes
    1 large apple
    3 1/2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    lemon juice
    1/2 c. maple syrup
Preparation
    Boil potatoes 20 to 25 minutes until tender.
    Peel.
    Peel and core apple, slice in 1/4-inch rings.
    Melt 1 teaspoon butter and brown apple slices.
    Butter shallow casserole dish large enough to hold potatoes flat after slicing them 1/2 to 3/4-inches thick. Sprinkle with salt and top with apple slices.
    Squeeze lemon juice over all.
    Pour maple syrup over all.
    Dot with remaining butter. Bake at 375\u00b0, uncovered, for 30 minutes until sweet potatoes absorb syrup.
