Pasta And Vodka Cream Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped well or put quickly through blender
    1 c. heavy cream
    1/4 c. vodka
    1/4 tsp. red pepper
Preparation
    Melt butter with oil in large heavy saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and saute until translucent, about 8 minutes.
    Add tomatoes and cook until almost no liquid remains in pan, stirring frequently, about 25 minutes.
    Add cream, vodka and red pepper. Bring to boil and stir until sauce thickens slightly, about 2 minutes.
    Season to taste with salt and pepper.
    Cook pasta (penne or rigatoni) and pour sauce over.
