Venison Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    shoulder or saddle of venison
    vinegar
    3 or 4 sliced onions
    6 bay leaves
    flour
    salt
    pepper
Preparation
    Place meat into an earthen jar.
    Cover with vinegar, onions and bay leaves.
    Allow to stand at least 2 days.
    Remove meat from jar and wash it with cold water.
    Place in pot.
    Cover with boiling water; simmer slowly until tender.
    Remove meat.
    Mix flour with a little water; add to liquid in pot, stirring until thickened.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
