Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1/2 c. celery
    1/2 c. onion
    1/2 c. green pepper
    1/2 c. grated carrots
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas
    1 pt. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    8 oz. Swiss or Cheddar cheese, grated
    3 hard-boiled eggs
Preparation
    Use 9 x 13-inch dish.
    Layer vegetables in order.
    Mix mayo and sugar, then spread over salad.
    Add grated cheese on top of mayo. Slice eggs and put on top of cheese.
    Chill.
