Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. sugar
    2 vanilla beans
    2 oz. jar regular instant coffee
    2 fifths vodka
Preparation
    Put 6 cups water in pot; add 6 cups sugar and bring to a boil and boil 10 minutes.
    In separate pan, boil 2 cups water; add the jar of instant coffee and dissolve.
    Pour into simple syrup, stir well and set aside to cool.
    Slice vanilla beans lengthwise and put into a gallon jar (glass jar with top that will seal).
    After simple syrup and coffee cool completely, add to container and pour in the 2 fifths of vodka, mixing well.
    Seal jar and let set 6 weeks before using.
    Each week shake the jar.
    When you are ready to serve, use a highball type glass, 1 or 3 ounces of Kahlua, several ice cubes and fill the glass with sweet milk.
    Also, can be used over vanilla ice cream.
