Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. cake flour
3 whole eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation

Beat eggs.
Add shortening and mix well.
Blend in sugar. Sift flour, salt and soda together.
Add to ingredients alternately with buttermilk.
Add vanilla flavoring. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Yields 3 layers.
