Clam Spaghetti - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 large chopped onion
3 large garlic cloves, minced
1 Tbsp. dried basil
1 Tbsp. oregano
salt and pepper to taste
2 (4 1/2 oz.) cans chopped clams, drained (but save liquid)
1 lb. spaghetti, cooked
1 c. chopped parsley
grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation

Put oil in skillet and add onion and garlic, cooking slowly, about 30 minutes.
Add basil, oregano, salt, pepper and liquid from clams.
Simmer until some of the liquid is reduced.
Cook spaghetti al dente in salted water.
Add clams, parsley and 3 tablespoons cheese to sauce; simmer on low heat for 5 minutes. Drain pasta and add to sauce; stir.
Sprinkle generously with grated cheese and serve from skillet.
