Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 can cream style corn
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
    1 lb. ground meat
    1 onion, chopped
    1/2 lb. cheese or 8 slices Kraft singles
Preparation
    Mix cornmeal, eggs, milk, soda, salt, corn and drippings. Saute 1 pound ground meat.
    Brown and drain.
    Pour half the batter on heated greased skillet.
    Sprinkle evenly with cheese, meat and onion.
    Pour rest of batter on top.
    Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
