Yeast Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. Crisco
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    2 c. buttermilk
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Sift flour.
    Cut sugar into shortening; combine with flour. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add soda to buttermilk.
    Add all liquids and salt to flour mixture.
    Cover and refrigerate.
    Use as needed.
    Yields 5 dozen biscuits.
