Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 qt. (14 c.) popcorn, popped
    1 c. sugar
    2/3 c. light corn syrup
    2/3 c. water
    1/2 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Place popcorn in very large bowl.
    In saucepan, combine sugar, syrup, water, butter and salt.
    Cook, uncovered, stirring often, until hard ball stage.
    Remove from heat.
    Slowly pour syrup over popcorn; toss until coated.
    With buttered fingers, shape into 16 balls.
