Twenty-Four Hour Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small onions, cut into rings
    6 c. chopped cabbage
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 Tbsp. dry mustard
    1/2 Tbsp. celery seed
    pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 c. oil
Preparation
    Layer onions and cabbage alternately in a deep bowl.
    Combine remaining ingredients except oil in a saucepan.
    Bring to a boil; remove from heat.
    Stir in salad oil.
    Pour evenly over vegetables.
    Do not stir.
    Chill in refrigerator overnight.
