Brillant Candy Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 egg
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    2 c. soft candied cherries, cut in halves
    1 c. sifted 10x sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans halves
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar, creaming well.
    Blend in egg and vanilla.
    Add flour.
    Mix well; stir in pecan halves and candied cherries.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Divide in thirds.
    Shape in rolls 10-inches long.
    Wrap in wax paper.
    Chill at least 3 hours.
    Cut into 1/8-inch to 1/4-inch slices.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes until delicately browned on the edges.
