Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. pickling spices
    1 c. water
    6 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cook beets about 1 hour in a big pan.
    Cold dip until skins come off.
    Cut as desired and put in pan.
    Cover beets with mixture.
    Cook 15 minutes.
    Put in jars while hot.
