Banana-Bran Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nutmeats
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. Bran cereal
3 c. mashed bananas
4 Tbsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda together; add the chopped nutmeats.
Set aside.
Cream together the shortening and sugar until light and fluffy; add the eggs and bran.
Combine bananas, water and vanilla and add to the creamed mixture alternately with the dry ingredients.
Pour into 2 greased loaf pans and let stand for 30 minutes.
Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
When done, let cool in pans for 5 minutes, then turn onto board or cake rack to cool.
