Farmer'S Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, torn into pieces
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 c. diced green pepper
    4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    1 small onion, sliced
    1 box frozen peas (uncooked; optional)
    8 slices crumbled bacon
    2 c. salad dressing or mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Layer all ingredients, except salad dressing or mayonnaise, sugar and cheese, in layers in a cake pan.\tCombine salad dressing or mayonnaise and sugar.
    Spread on top of layers.\tSprinkle cheese on top.
    Cover with plastic wrap and chill 24 hours before serving.
