Mrs. Pierce'S Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter (2 c.) softened
10 eggs
1 lb. sugar (2 c.)
1 lb. flour (4 c.) (all-purpose)
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. raisins, cooked and cooled
1/2 c. brandy
1 glass jelly (8 oz.)
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 pt. walnut meats, chopped
1 lb. each: pineapple peel, orange peel, lemon peel and dates
Preparation

Grease and line tube pans and mix ingredients all together. Bake in oven at 275\u00b0 for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Decorate top with cherries cut in half and pecans about 1 hour before done.
Use wooden toothpick to test doneness.
Makes 2 tube pans and 1 loaf pan.
