Chocolate Sundae Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. shortening
    2/3 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. maraschino cherry juice
    2 Tbsp. milk
    2 sq. melted chocolate
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/4 c. chopped cherries
    18 marshmallows
    chocolate frosting
Preparation
    Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda.
    Cream the shortening, brown sugar and egg.
    Using half of the dry ingredients, add cherry juice and milk and add remaining dry ingredients and creamed mixture.
    Blend in melted chocolate, nuts and cherries.
    Drop on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
    Cut 18 marshmallows in half and place on hot cookies. Cool and frost.
    Top with nut or cherry half.
