Traditional Marble Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine, softened
2 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
5 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. cake flour
1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. boiling water
Preparation

Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl at medium speed for 2 to 3 minutes until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in vanilla and salt.
Mix in flour, 1/3 at a time.
Mix cocoa, baking soda and boiling water until smooth in a medium bowl; add 1 1/2 cups of cake batter, stirring well.
