Ginger Creams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. hot water
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease cookie sheets.
    In large bowl, combine sugar, hot water, molasses, shortening and egg; blend well.
    Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Stir in remaining cookie ingredients until well blended.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Frost with vanilla frosting, or eat plain.
