Fresh Fruit Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked (9-inch) pie crust
    1 qt. fruit (fresh)
    1 c. white sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    dash of salt
    3 oz. box Jell-O (according to the kind of fruit, blueberry or lemon Jell-O)
Preparation
    Put fruit into baked pie shell.
    Cook sugar, cornstarch, water, white karo and salt until transparent.
    Add Jell-O.
    Remove from heat and let set until mixture gels.
    Pour over fruit and refrigerate until set.
    Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream.
