24 Hour 7-Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium to large head lettuce
    1/2 c. celery, diced
    1/2 c. diced carrots
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. green peas, thawed and not cooked
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper (if desired)
    1/2 c. diced onions
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. bacon bits or Bac*Os
Preparation
    Layer in a large bowl (with cover) in the following order: lettuce, torn in bite size pieces, celery, carrots, green peas, pepper and onions.
    Frost with mayonnaise
    mixed with sugar.
    Top with Cheddar cheese and bacon bits.
    Cover and refrigerate 24 hours before serving.
    Do not mix.
