Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 c. white Karo
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. raw peanuts
1 1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cook first three ingredients until syrup spins a thread.
Add butter, vanilla and peanuts.
Cook until peanuts are done and brown.
Remove from fire and add soda.
Stir quickly and pour into buttered pie pans.
Beat pie pans until candy spreads evenly over bottom.
Makes 7 or 8 patties.
