Pecan Bread - cooking recipe

3 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. chopped pecans
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia brand cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
1/3 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Combine cream cheese, 1/3 cup granulated sugar and 1 egg, mixing until well blended.
Combine dry ingredients.
Add oil, milk, 2 eggs and peel, mixing just until moist.
Fold in nuts.
