Cherry Or Blueberry Fruit Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
    4 c. flour
    1 can cherry filling
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.
    Add vanilla and eggs (one at a time).
    Stir in flour.
    Mix well and spread 3/4 batter in an ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Cover with pie filling.
    Drop remaining batter by the spoonfuls on filling, spreading it.
    Leave some of cherries showing.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or when batter starts to brown.
