Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak (1-inch thick)
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 c. water
    1 medium onion, cut up
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    2 medium peppers, cut into 3/4-inch strips
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 medium tomatoes or canned
Preparation
    Trim fat from meat; cut meat in strips.
    Heat oil in skillet; add meat and cook until brown.
    Stir in water, onions, garlic salt and ginger.
    Heat to boiling; reduce heat, cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes.
    Add green pepper strips during last 5 minutes of simmering.
